WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein men's tennis team defeated Penn State Behrend 9-0 to earn its four-straight victory, as the team earned another clean sweep.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Cardinals worked well in the doubles section by earning a victory in all three matches, as the duo of Brandon Wall and Jared Deel won 8-3 in the first doubles position.
- In singles matches, Otterbein was led by Connor Radune who won 6-0, 6-1 in the second single slot, as Wall won 6-1, 6-0.
- Wharton earned a victory in a hard-fought match by a score of 7-5, 6-1 in third singles. Tom Ohler came away with his team-high ninth victory by a final of 6-1, 6-2.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Otterbein earns its fourth 9-0 victory of the young spring season.
- The Cardinals avenged a 5-4 defeat from last season against the Lions, as Wharton was able to win back-to-back years.
- As a unit, the Cardinals have won .754 percent of their individual matches on the year.
- The Cardinals are off to a 7-1 start, which is the best for the program in over a decade, as Ohler leads the team with nine individual victories.
