MTEN: Cardinals Cage Lions in Afternoon Action

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Otterbein racked up its first win of the spring season on the men's tennis scene Saturday afternoon on campus, blanking the Lions of Penn State Behrend by a 9-0 count inside the Clements Recreation Center
.
The Cardinals move to 3-1 overall with the W, responding nicely after dropping a content at Transylvania last weekend.

HOW IT WENT DOWN:
  • Otterbein took early momentum in sweeping all three doubles courts. Jake McDivitt and Tom Ohler had the toughest challenge at the No. 1 position, but worked through stretches to prevail 8-5.
     
  • Gabriel Atteh and Dylan Shook won 8-3 at the spot below, while Armando DiMichaelangelo and Boban Mihajlov cruised to an 8-1 decision.
     
  • The Cardinals dominated individual matchups, winning all 12 sets by nothing worse than a 6-2 margin.
     
  • Will Newberry and Nate Stevens got into the fun on courts three and six, respectively, while another four Cardinals from doubles enjoyed 2-0 afternoons.
     
UP NEXT:
  • Otterbein will have a full week off to continue finding form, returning to the court at Wooster come next Saturday at 1 p.m.
