FINAL RESULTS
BEREA, Ohio – The best way to overcome a tough loss is to get right back in the game, and that's the medicine Otterbein chose on Good Friday with an 8-1 triumph at Baldwin Wallace up in the Cleveland area.
The Cardinals, digesting a competitive loss by the same margin to Ohio Northern just 72 hours prior, got back into the win column after defeating the Yellow Jacket for a third-straight time.
HOW IT WENT DOWN:
- The Cards had to work for all three doubles victories, but emerged on all three lines nonetheless. Will Newberry and Dylan Shook ended first at 8-3, followed by Jake McDivitt and Boban Mihajlov settling 8-5 at the middle line...

- The tightest matchup came at No. 1 doubles, where Gabriel Atteh and Jamie Price were forced into a tiebreaker against the BW tandem of Trey Kernan and Matt McGee. Staying the course and finding spots, Otterbein emerged with a 10-8 decision to secure a third point!

- The Cards won five courts in singles to pull away, with Mihajlov being pressed the most in a 7-5 victory in the opening set. Atteh overcame some challenges so win 6-4 in his initial frame, while all other were smooth sailing.

- The only defeat came in the top spot, where McDivitt wound up in a back-and-forth battle with McGee. He won the first set in a 7-2 breaker, dropped the rematch, and then unfortunately fell behind in a 10-5 tiebreaker to end the day.

LOOKING AHEAD:
- Otterbein is now 6-6 overall and 2-1 against the OAC. More league matches are on the docket after Easter with showdowns at Marietta and John Carroll next weekend.
