FINAL RESULTS
NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Otterbein Track & Field team continued indoor season across a full Saturday of action at the Muskingum Invitational, with the men's group taking runner-up status and the women's side landing fourth place inside Bullock Health and Wellness Complex.
Ohio Northern finished atop both team standings, outlasting the Cardinals in the men's section and then resting five points ahead of Carnegie Mellon on the women's side.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:

- Bill Daily comfortably bested the field of 31 runners in the 3K, setting a meet record by covering the distance in 8:39. That effort is good enough to slip onto Otterbein's Top-10 list.

- John Nice was also a winner himself in the 5K, rounding the track in 14:40 to best the runner-up by six seconds. He now ranks third all-time in program history for the event.

- Cameron Christopher (4:27) and Nathan Craft (4:29) crossed 1-2 in the mile, which featured 24 total competitors. Christopher is evolving on the track as well as a student worker for the Sports Information Office.

- Nick Agerter won the pole vault in a meet-record height of 15 feet even, while Landon Burns won the high jump at 1.90 meters (6-2 ¾) .

- Vinny Zeren had a pair of top-four finishes in the spring, including runner-up in the 60-meter straightaway.

- Khalil Jones and Zeren registered top-three efforts in the long jump, both soaring over 21 feet.

- Jay Figgins (1:09) and Carson Jones (1:10) went 2-3 in the 500-meter dash, racking up a healthy 14 points for the team total.

- Cal Yackin ran 2:32 in the 1,000 meters, slightly behind his time from last week but still good enough for second place in the field of 17.

- The 4x4 relay squad ran for the first time this season as Figgins, Jones, Jonny Powers and Gavin Kelly teamed for a 3:35-ish. That warranted fourth place overall.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:
- Emerging pole vaulter Peyton Proffitt won the event with a standout height of 3.86 meters (12-8), ranking as the top mark in the nation so far this season. She has almost certainly qualifed for the NCAA Championships in March.

- Staying in the field, and with an individual familiar with the NCAA's, Emma Klosterman took third in the high jump after clearing 1.57 meters (5-1 ¾). She settled two inches out of the top spot.

- Sprinter Lydia Baumgartner racked up a pair of second-place results, running 8.13 on the straightaway and then 26.97 seconds around the curve for the 200 meters. The latter even featured 41 individuals.

- Angela Maio continued pressing forward in the mid-distance area, taking third in the mile (5:38) and then fourth in the 800 meters (2:31). The mile saw 24 runners lace up in totality.

- The 4x4 relay ran together for the first time – seeing Cassidy Shaver, Rachel Bollo, Charlie Dolliver and Nicole Bryant exchange the baton.

UP NEXT:
- The Cardinals will get back in action next week by traveling to another OAC school, taking part in the annual Joe Banks Invitational at Ohio Northern.
