Honkpo earns First Team All-American honors with seventh place finish

LA CROSSE, Wis. – With a seventh place at the Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Richmond Honkpo concluded his season as a First Team All-American on Thursday afternoon.

In the first set of jumps, Honkpo leapt to his best mark of the day at 7.24 meters. That jump came on his second of the day, advancing him to the second round where the top eight jumpers would compete. Honkpo was unable to best the 7.24m mark, finishing seventh overall and earning the second All-American honor of the 2025-26 season, receiving Second Team accolades during the indoor season.

The junior was the 2026 OAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year and is now a two-time First Team All-American in outdoor long jump.
