Swope claims OAC Athlete of the Week status

The junior ran a time of 8.23 to win the 60m hurdles in Saturday's Otterbein Invite.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Izaac Swope has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference men's track Athlete of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon.

In Saturday's Otterbein Invite, the junior won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.23, a new personal best. That time currently ranks Swope first in the Ohio Athletic Conference and 15th nationally across Division III. Additionally, the race of 8.23 sits him third all-time in Cardinal indoor history.

Swope and the indoor track and field teams will head to Muskingum this weekend to compete in New Concord. The meet will commence at 11 a.m.
