Honkpo earns Second Team All-American honors, takes 11th in long jump

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Richmond Honkpo: All-American.

After finishing 11th in the long jump, Honkpo earned Second Team All-American honors on Friday at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The junior recorded a top mark of 6.88 meters on two of his three attempts to secure the 11th-place finish at the Birmingham Crossplex. On his third attempt, he leapt to a 6.79 meter mark. 

This marks Honkpo's second indoor All-American honor in the long jump. He previously earned All-American recognition in 2024 after finishing 10th. Honkpo also claimed All-American honors during the 2025 outdoor season in the long jump.

Honkpo currently holds the Otterbein school record in the event for both indoor and outdoor track and field. He will now turn his focus toward the upcoming outdoor season as he looks to return to the NCAA Championships.
