Otterbein Track & Field programs traveled about 90 minutes northwest to compete in the Tiffin Open on Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals laced up primarily against Division II schools again for the second weekend in a row, taking on multiple G-MAC schools en route to the finish.Â
NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS:
Â
- Ian Clevinger and Cam Christopher opened the meet for the Cardinals claiming first and second place slots (respectively) in the Men's 5K. Clevinger finished with a time of 15:38 and Christopher came in just behind at 15:42.

- Ashley Kish also found herself amongst the top of the 5K competitors, claiming second place with a time of 19:50.

- Peyton Proffitt cleared a pole vault of 3.53 meters (11-6 feet), which resulted in a three-way-tie for first place.

- Cassidy Shaver took first place in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:24.

- Jay Figgins warranted second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57, finishing ahead of 35 other runners

- Angela Maio found herself leading the pack in the 1000 meters, taking first place after finishing the event with a time of 3:13.

- Otterbein claimed a top-five finish in the 200 meters on both the men's and women's side thanks to Vinny Zeren and Lydia Bumgartner. Zeren took fourth place with a time of 22.71 and Bumgartner earned a third-place finish after a 27.20.

- Alyssa Mattis and Ragen Harting continued to earn top finishes for the distance crew with first and second place in the 3K. Mattis finished with a time of 11:17 to land first, while Harting crossed the line a few seconds later with a time of 11:26.

- Landon Burns earned second place in the high jump by clearing the bar at 1.93 meters (6-3 feet).

- Emma Klosterman took third place in the triple jump with a mark of 10.15 meters (33-3 feet).

- Khalil Jones landed a 6.68 meter (21-9 foot) long jump, earning him a third-place finish.

The Cardinals will travel to Alliance to compete in the Mount Union Tune-Up in preparation for the OAC Indoor Championships, which now take place in two weeks!
