FINAL RESULTS
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Otterbein men's and women's track & field team visited Alliance, Ohio on Saturday to compete in their last meet before the OAC Indoor Championships.
The Cardinals used the Mount Union Tune-Up to prepare for the league meet. Despite the day-long event not being scored from a team perspective, multiple Cardinals finished on top across a spread of events.

MEN:
- Cal Yackin collected another victory this season, this time in the 1K in a school-record time of 2:27! He easily bested the former mark posted six years ago by Trevor Dilley (2:30).

- Landon Burns led the field events for the men with a third-place finish in the high jump with a clearance of 1.89 meters (6'2.5" feet).

- The distance squad showed dominance in the form of the 3K notching the first, second, third, and fourth-place spots. Ian Clevinger claimed first with a time of 8:56.20, just beating teammate Jaden Watkins by .64 seconds (8:56.84). In similar fashion Chase Jackson ran 8:59.35 while Garrett Miller finished with a time of 9:00.41.

- Nathan Craft earned the top spot in the mile with a time of 4:25, and fellow Cardinal John Nice completed the race right behind him with a time of 4:26.

- The Cardinals finished the meet with a second and third-place finish in the 4x4 relay. Nice, Craft, Jackson and Cameron Christopher were members of the A team that took second with a time of 3:46.

- The 4x4 "B Team" finished with a time of 3:50 and consisted of Jacob Bockenstette, Jacob littler, Ian Clevinger, and Jaden Watkins.
WOMEN:
- Peyton Proffitt found herself with another standout performance and first-place finish, this time matching Harmony Kolling atop the Otterbein record books in the pole vault. She cleared 3.97 meters (13-0.25 feet) and now ranks second nationally in the event.

- Emma Klosterman also found success in the field with a second-place finish in the high jump, clearing a season-best 1.61 meters (5'3.5" feet). The height keeps her within the Top-40 nationally as she looks to make a push in the coming week for nationals.

- Alyssa Mattis earned a second-place finish in the mile with a time of 5:26, besting her previous personal record.
Â
- Rachel Bollo finished in the top ranks again for the 500-meter dash, this time taking second place with a time of 1:24.
Â
- For the first time in this indoor season the Cardinals competed in a 4x2 relay. Proffit, Lydia Baumgartner, Brooke Caldwell and Tashe Lee produced a first-place finish with a time of 1:50 to lead the sprints squad.

Both teams will gear up for the OAC Indoor Champsionships next weekend in Berea, Ohio. Baldwin Wallace will host the final regular season meet for the Cardinals.
