CURRENT RESULTS
BEREA, Ohio – The Otterbein Track and Field program launched the 2023 OAC Indoor Championships Friday at Baldwin Wallace, racking up a handful of podium finishes and other points toward the overall team total.
Both sides currently sit in fifth place collectively after opening day, with just seven of 19 events officially scored.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Freshman pole vaulter Peyton Proffitt claimed the first OAC title of her young career, outlasting Marietta' Emily Thompson on the board (12 feet even) as a result of fewer misses.

- Emma Klosterman also tallied points in the field, settling fifth in the long jump herself with a mark of 17-9 ½. It marked a new indoor personal-best.

- Cassidy Shaver ran 1:23.42 in the 500-meter dash, but just missed scoring by less than a second.

- The 4x 4 relay of Shaver, Angela Maio, Rachel Bollo and Alyssa Mattis finished in the upper-half, taking fifth place after combining for an effort of 13:14.
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Khalil Jones, also getting a taste of his first conference meet after transferring, hit the podium with a runner-up effort in the long jump. He flew 22-5 ¾ to finish only behind Addison Painter of Marietta.

- Nick Agerter put another OAC medal on his shelf, taking second place in the pole vault following a clear of 14-11 ½. Mount Union's Kyel Wolff won the event by almost a foot.

- Vinny Zeren sprinted 6.58 in the 55-meter dash, moving up to sixth in program history.

- Three runners scored points in the 5K, led by a third-place finish from John Nice. He hit the podium after going 14:37 while teammates Nathan Craft (fifth) and Cameron Christopher (eighth) came in shortly after.
SATURDAY SLATE:
- The Cardinals will return to the Lou Higgins Center in the morning for the second and final day of action. Field events are slated to begin at 10 a.m. before running commences at 2:30 p.m.
