FINAL RESULTS
ASHLAND, Ohio – The Otterbein Track & Field programs started February with a bit of an improvisation, switching away from the (originally scheduled) Joe Banks Invite at Ohio Northern to attend a two-day event at Ashland in honor of former head coach Jud Logan.
The Cardinals (down a good chunk of the roster fighting a cold) squared up primarily against Division II competition, pushing to improve on season-best results and numbers with the OAC Indoor Championships now just three weeks away.
NOTABLE PERFORMERS:
- Bill Daily ran 4:10 in the mile, good enough for second in program history and runner-up in the massive field of 75. He only trailed former Ohio Northern standout Ian McVey (unattached) and now ranks 16th nationally in the event.
Â
- Emma Klosterman took third of 28 competitors in the high jump, clearing a season-best 1.60 meters (5-3) on her final attempt. She then came up short at 5-5.
Â
- Lydia Baumgartner ran a season-best 26.69 in the 200 meters on Friday evening, inching toward her PR of 26.39 seconds.
Â
- Khalil Jones went took 15th of 38 leapers in the long jump, ranking just ahead of John Carroll's Daylen Glaze as the top D3 competitor in the field.
Â
- Garrett Miller finished halfway through the 5K field, running 15:58 to eventually cross 17th of 34 runners. JCU's Tommy Naiman won the event by 14 seconds.
Â
- Alyssa Mattis went 5:32 in the mile, crossing just behind the halfway mark in a field with more than 60 runners.
Â
- Rachel Bollo was 28th of nearly 60 entrants in the 400 meters, less than a half-second outside the Top 25.
Â
- Carson Jones crossed 26th of 71 individuals in the 800-meter section.

NEXT STOP:
The Cardinals have a pair of stops on deck for next weekend, with the "Big Meet" at Grand Valley State and Tiffin Open both currently on the schedule.
