Yackin ended up posting 4:18 in the mile, but unfortunately not quick enough to advance into Saturday's championship race at the Birmingham CrossPlex facility. The effort was good enough to land him 18th nationaLly.
Ezra Ruggles (SUNY Geneseo) posted the fastest qualifying time at 4:06, as the top-10 times moved on.
Now a 4x national qualifier, Yackin will regroup for spring outdoor season and look to give the national scene another go.
