POWELL, Ohio - Some members of the men's and women's cross country teams stayed home to compete at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational at Liberty Park amongst other D3 schools on a perfect fall Friday evening. Overall, a combined 343 runners toed the line in either race.
Otterbein finished midway through the pack on the men's side, taking seventh of 15 teams, while the women settled for 12th as a collective group.
Men's Side:
- In a time of 27:04, sophomore Christopher Pinnick set the pace for the Cards in the 8K and secured the 43rd position.
- Mitch Green followed, clinching 54th place as he completed the race in a time of 27:19.
- Following suit, Jacob Littler came in 64th place by completing the race in a time of 27:40.
- Finishing in 69th place, Chris Klein completed the race in 27:46.
- Wrapping up the top-five positions for Otterbein, Ben Stanhope took the 74th spot by crossing the finish line in 27:51.
Women's Side:
- Charlie Dolliver claimed the 76th position in the 6k at the forefront of the Cardinal pack, completing the race in a time of 25:36.
- Ava Stratman finished in the 88th spot in a time of 26:08 with Angela Maio grabbing the 100th place in a time for 26:53.
- Completing the top five were Allie Judd, claiming the 110th spot with a time of 27:15, and Carli Martz, finishing 114th in 27:48.
Looking Ahead:
The Cardinals will regroup with another week off before getting back to action on Saturday, October 14. They will journey to Rock Island, Illinois to compete in the Augustana Interregional Invite.
