LANCASTER - The Otterbein men's golf team competed in two tournaments over the weekend. The two-day Capital Fall Classic was separated into two competitions, and the Cardinals placed third in the five-team field on Saturday and took first place in the six-team field on Sunday.

The Basics: 

• Venue: Lancaster Golf Club- Par 72, 6,724 yards, with a 72.9 course rating and a 141-slope rating
• On Saturday, Otterbein placed third out of five teams with a total of 306 strokes. Ohio Northern took home the team title with a 302, and Capital was second with a 303. The Otterbein "B" team also posted a 306.
• Otterbein won Sunday's tournament with a total of 307. Marietta was second with a 310, and Ohio Northern was third with a 314. the Otterbein "B" team shot a 314.

Otterbein Individual Results: 

• Junior Ian Morgan carded a 76 in the opening round and followed up with a 77 on day two.
• Junior Carter Woodward posted a 76 on the first day, then shot an 83 in the second round.
• Junior Colin Bibler recorded a 77 on day one and a 78 on the second day.
• Sophomore Nick McMullen shot a 77 in the first round and followed it with a 79 on day two.
• Junior Jake Morgan posted an 80 on day one and bounced back with a 73 in the second round.
• Competing as individuals were senior Quinn Gallagher, junior Cam Uhl, senior Blake Bennett, freshman Noah Huard, and sophomore Clay Brunning. Gallagher posted rounds of 82 and 80, Uhl recorded scores of 80 and 79, Bennett shot 71 and 81, Huard tallied rounds of 78 and 87, while Brunning led the unattached group finished with rounds of 77 and 74.
• Bennett placed second overall in Saturday's tournament, finishing just one shot back of the medalist.
• Jake Morgan's 73 on Sunday placed him third overall, two shots back of the medalist. Brunning tied for fourth with his 74.
