Cardinals compete in first round at The O'Brient-Jensen Memorial

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After day one of The O'Briant-Jensen Memorial, the No. 35 ranked Otterbein University men's golf team sits tied for 12th, competing against some of Division III's top programs. Out of the 20 teams in the field, 12 are ranked in the Top 50 in the latest poll. 

On Monday, the Cardinals battled tough weather conditions. As a team, Otterbein shot a 315, led by Jake Morgan's 74. The senior is currently tied for fifth overall after the first round. Classmate Colin Bibler is tied for 30th overall after carding a 77 in the opening round. Also shooting in the 70s was Carter Woodward, who shot a 79 for the Cardinals.

Ian Morgan totaled an 85 and Clay Bruning rounded out the squad with an 88 in Monday's round.
