Men's golf wins Muskingum Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio – With five players finishing inside the top six, the Otterbein University men's golf team won the Muskingum Invitational with a two-day total of 303-292 – 595. The Cardinals trailed by seven strokes after round one and erased the deficit on Monday.

Senior Colin Bibler led Otterbein with a score of 72-73 – 145 to place second overall. Three strokes back in third place was Carter Woodward with an eight-stroke improvement between rounds to card a 78-70 – 148. Ian Morgan shot a 75 (150) each day to tie for fifth in the tournament and Clay Bruning tied for 10th with a 78-74 – 152. Rounding out the team totals was Jake Morgan's 79-79 – 158.

Cam Uhl placed fourth, shooting a 75-74 – 149. With a 74-76 – 150, Nick McMullen tied for fifth, while freshman Parker Steffani shot a 76-75 – 151 to take eighth. Noah Huard (76-77 – 153) was next for the Cardinals, as Aidan Johnson (80-82 – 162), Nate McMullen (83-82 – 165) and Hudson Able (86-81 – 167) all competed in the tournament.

This marks the third consecutive win for the Otterbein men's golf team, dating back to fall competition. It is the team's fifth of the season.

On Monday, the Cardinals will host the Otterbein Easter Leftovers tournament at the NorthStar Golf Club.
