ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Otterbein men's cross country team competed in a pair of races at the Augustana (Ill.) Interregional Invitational on Saturday, placing 28th and 17th, respectively.

The Basics

• The Interregional Invitational consisted of a pair of 8K races held at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. There was a premier, Gold Division race and a Blue Division race. Otterbein had runners in both races.

• In the Gold Division, the Cardinals scored 744 points and placed 28th of 40 teams.
• In the Blue Division, the Cardinals scored 502 points and placed 17th of 30 teams.
• Overall, Wartburg (Iowa) was the top team finisher in the Gold Division with 41 points followed by North Central (Ill.) in second with 144 points and Wisconsin-Whitewater in third with 160 points.
• The top three individual finishers in the Gold Division were Wisconsin-Whitewater's Christan Patzka in 23:52, Wartburg's Isaiah Hammerand in 23:59 and Washington University's Cullen Capuano in 24:04.

• Junior Payne Ratliff led the way for the Cardinals, placing 111th in the 436-man field in 25:53.
• Freshman Tucker See finished 164th in 26:21.
• Junior Drew Osler finished 170th in 26:25.
• Junior David Hartman finished 229th in 26:55.
• Sophomore Mitch Green finished 235th in 26:58.
• Sophomore Caleb Rafferty finished 272nd in 27:16.
• Sophomore Brady Pugh finished 275th in 27:17.

• Senior Cole Benishek led the way for the Cardinals, placing 73rd in the 407-man field in 27:05.
• Junior Jonny Powers finished 137th in 27:49.
• Junior Gavin Kelly finished 182nd in 28:20.
• Freshman Deven Deskins finished 198th in 28:32.
• Senior Dylan Burns finished 213th in 28:45.
