Men's Golf faces off against highly ranked competition at O'Briant-Jensen Memorial

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Otterbein men's golf team traveled about seven hours south for the two-day O'Briant-Jensen Memorial, held from Sunday through Monday evening, competing in a field of over 100 golfers. The team finished 15th out of 20 teams.

The Basics: 
  • Venue: The Cardinal by Pete Dye
  • Par: 70  
  • Among the 21 teams in the field, 12 were ranked on the platform 'scoreboard', with seven of those teams positioned in the top 15.
  • Final Results
The Tournament: 
  • Otterbein posted a score of 307 on the first day and 322 on the second, ending with a two-day total of 629.
  • Methodist claimed the team title with a total score of 584.
  • Junior Ian Morgan led the Cardinals, tying for 28th place with a total score of 153 after shooting rounds of 74 and 79.
  • Twin junior Jake Morgan followed suit, tying for 42nd place with rounds of 73 and 83, for a total score of 156.
  • Junior Carter Woodward tied for 56th place, recording rounds of 79 and 80 for a two-day total of 159.
  • Junior Colin Bibler tied for 66th place, posting rounds of 81 and 80 for a combined total of 161.
  • Senior Quinn Gallagher rounds out the team in 95th place with a total score of 168, recording rounds of 82 and 86.
