FINAL RESULTS
WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein Track & Field programs played host to the annual Division III All-Ohio Championships across a full Saturday inside the facility, with a slew of events spread out across the Rike and Clements Recreation Center.
In the end, the Cards walked away in third place on the men's side and sixth in the women's standings behind a pair of champions –
John Nice (5K) and
Emma Klosterman (high jump). Multiple others wearing the Tan and Cardinal hit the podium, as noted below!
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Cardinals went 1-2-3-5 in the 5K behind Nice (15:07), who comfortably topped the field by roughly 14 seconds. Teammates Garrett Miller, Chase Jackson and Payne Ratliff all scored nicely as well.

- Just prior to that, the distance medley relay of Gavin Kelly, Alec Spangler, Jay Figgins and anchor Mitch Green hit the podium with runner-up status. They maneuvered the various legs in 10:36 to only finish behind Wooster.

- Otterbein racked up 20 points from the pole vault alone, sparked by Nick Agerter taking second place after clearing 14-5 and change. Teammates Brady Williams and Joe Hill joined him on the podium in tying for third, clearing the same exact height but holding one extra miss. Joshua Miller slid in eighth.

- Richmond Honkpo earned the first All-Ohio medal of his young career after landing third in the long jump, posting a new season-best effort of 22-6 early on in his attempts.

- Green also scored points in the mile by taking fifth, going around in 4:28 and missing the podium by just a second.

- Izaac Swope landed sixth in a very competitive 60-meter hurdles event, chalking up a new PR of 8.65 in the process.

- Malvin Long (triple jump) and the 4x2 relay picked up single points by virtue of eighth place.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:
- Klosterman bested the field of 16 in the high jump at 5-5, settling just one inch shy of her career-best height but now still ranking 17th nationally. She also worked her way to fifth place in the long jump (16-10 and change) to account for 14 points in the team total.

- Defending champ Peyton Proffitt (pole vault) settled for runner-up this time around behind Marietta's Emily Thompson, who edged out a victory at 12-6 after not missing all day. Proffitt was right behind at 12-4 in what became a two-horse race.

- The DMR of Ragen Harting, Charlie Dolliver, Alyssa Mattis and Ava Stratmann also walked away in second place after combining for 13:12. They held off Mount Union by one second.

- Rachel Ziel (20:06) and Kierstin Knell (20:10) just finished outside the podium cutoff in the 5K, taking fourth and fifth respectively.

- Amanda Radke joined Klosterman to score in the high jump, garnering sixth place another few Cardinal points on the board.

- Dolliver secured three additional points in the triple jump by landing 33-4 in the sand, and just six inches out of fourth place.

- The 4x2 and 4x4 relays both crossed eighth, notching a point each to the team total.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Otterbein will have a tune-up meet next weekend at Mount Union before the OAC Indoor Championships come February 23-24 at Muskingum.
