NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Otterbein Track and Field squads concluded the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday at Muskingum, with
Emma Klosterman emerging as the OAC Champion and leading the team.
Both the men's and women's teams secured a fifth-place finish, with the men accumulating 58 points and the women earning 38. Mount Union claimed the trophy in both categories, with a combined total of 397 points.
Additionally, both squads now hold possession The Oar after finishing higher than cross-town rival Capital in the team standings!
ON THE MEN'S SIDE:

Richmond Honkpo narrowly missed reclaiming a spot on the podium, securing fourth place in the triple jump with a mark of 43' 3¾" (13.20 meters).

John Nice initially led most of the 3000-meter run, but the increased pace eventually pushed him back to fifth place, finishing with a time of 8:38.81.
-In his conference indoor debut, freshman
Izaac Swope secured a 5th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking in at 8.54 seconds.

Jay Figgins finished sixth in the one mile run with a time of 4:21.63
ON THE WOMEN'S SIDE:
-After being the runner-up for three consecutive years, Klosterman has finally secured the title of OAC Indoor Champion in the high jump by clearing a height of 5' 2½" (1.59 meters). Moreover, she attained a seventh-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 33' 11½" (10.35 meters).
UP NEXT:
Before gearing up for the NCAA Indoor Championships, the team will divide to compete in either the Mount Union Final Qualifier or the Tufts National Qualifying. Both scheduled for next Saturday.
