Men’s Golf secures runner-up finish at Donald Ross Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS — The Otterbein men's golf team finished in second place at the John Carroll Donald Ross Invitational, which concluded on Sunday evening after two days of competition. 

The Basics: 
  • Venue: Sunday's first round was played at Manakiki Golf Club, abd Monday's second round was played at Shaker Hights Country Club. 
  • Shaker Height Country Club: Par 71, Yardage: 6701
  • Manakiki Golf Club: Par 72, Yardage: 6643
  • In the nine-team field, Wittenberg is ranked No. 14, while their B team placed in the field.
  • Final Results
The Tournament: 
  • Otterbein scored 303 on the first day and 308 on the second day, finishing with a two-day total of 611.
  • John Carroll claimed the team title with a combined score of 598.
  • Carter Woodward led the Cardinals by tying for third place in the 45-man field, shooting rounds of 75 and 74 for a two-day total of 149.
  • Colin Bibler tied for eighth, shooting rounds of 75 and 77 for a combine 152 total.
  • Quinn Gallagher tied for ninth place with a total score of 154, shooting rounds of 77 in both sessions.
  • Jake Morgan tied for 15th place with rounds of 76 and 80, finishing with a total score of 156.
  • Completing the lineup, Ian Morgan tied for 20th place with a total score of 158, posting rounds of 77 and 81.
