Men's golf tied for second after round one at Region V Showcase

PORT CLINTON, Ohio – After day one at the Region V Showcase, the No. 29 Otterbein University men's golf team sits in second place, shooting a round one score of 308. The Cardinals sit just four strokes off the lead behind Trine.

Ian Morgan and Jake Morgan are currently tied for first overall with Trine's Jack Besner. The Morgans shot 75s on Monday (+3). Senior Carter Woodward carded a 78 and is tied for 11th following the first day of competition.

With an 80, Colin Bibler was the next Cardinal in Monday's lineup, sitting just outside the top 20 at 21st overall. Junior Nick McMullen is tied for 26th after Monday's 81 and Clay Bruning is tied for 31st, ending Monday with an 82.

The team will wrap up day two of the 11 team tournament on Tuesday.
