Indoor Track & Field begins season at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Otterbein track and field program opened its 2025 indoor schedule with a busy week, beginning Thursday at the Oiler Opener & Multi hosted by the University of Findlay and rolling into Saturday's Tiger Collegiate Opener at Wittenberg. The Cardinals walked away with several top finishes, highlighted by a sweep in the men's long jump and a pair of winning marks on the women's side.

Findlay – Thursday (Multi Events)

Senior Charlie Dolliver kicked off her collegiate multi-event campaign by placing ninth overall in the pentathlon with a total of 2,957 points. She opened the day by running 9.56 in the 60-meter hurdles, good for seventh in the field, before jumping 1.52 meters to take third in the high jump. Dolliver then added marks of 7.08 meters in the shot put and 4.89 meters in the long jump before closing strong with a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters at 2:33.70. Her performance provided early momentum for the Cardinals heading into the weekend.

Wittenberg – Saturday (Tiger Collegiate Opener)

Otterbein followed up Thursday's showing with a strong outing at Wittenberg, earning event wins and multiple top-five performances across both programs.

The men's team delivered a dominant result in the long jump, where junior Richmond Honkpo opened his season with a winning leap of 7.23 meters, and sophomore Jaret Harting immediately followed for second at 6.90 meters.

In the 60-meter hurdles, junior Izaac Swope placed fifth at 8.60, while junior Cam Smart finished seventh in 8.82. The Cardinals added another top-five result on the track as freshman Peyton Smith ran 36.64 for fourth in the 300-meter dash.

Otterbein showed depth in the field events, led by sophomore Bo Baker's strong 15.56-meter mark in the shot put and junior Gabe Scialdone's ninth-place clearance of 1.88 meters in the high jump.

On the women's side, Dolliver returned to competition and captured a win in the triple jump after posting 11.16 meters, while sophomore Carlisha Bell secured third with a jump of 8.93 meters. Sophomore Jayana Gore highlighted the long jump with a third-place finish at 5.17 meters, and sophomore Kendra Detillion delivered a solid showing in the shot put, placing fourth at 11.39 meters.

Detillion also returned in the weight throw, where she placed 11th with a mark of 11.42 meters, just behind junior Amelia Dailey, who took 10th after throwing 11.65 meters. Senior Rachel Bollo rounded out the day on the track by finishing eighth in the 300-meter dash, clocking 45.14.
