WESTERVILLE — Junior
Chase Jackson won the 5000 meters, and sophomore
Gabe Scialdone placed third in the high jump to earn All-Ohio honors and lead the Otterbein men's indoor track and field team as it hosted the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday.
The Basics
- Venue: Clements Recreation Center - Westerville, Ohio.
- Otterbein secured sixth place among 16 teams with a total of 41.50 points. Mount Union took first place with a total of 124 points followed by Baldwin Wallace in second with 75 points and Denison in third with 66 points.
- The top three finishers in each event earned All-Ohio honors.

Otterbein's Top Performers - Running Events
- 5000m - Jackson took first place with a time of 15:25.53, earning All-Ohio honors.
- 200m - Sophomore Christian Barker ran a 22.54 to take fifth.
- 4000m Distance Medley Relay - Otterbein senior Dylan Burns, freshman Marquez Whitehead and juniors Gavin Kelly and Jonny Powers took sixth place with a time of 10:55.63
- 60m Hurdles - Sophomore Izaac Swope placed seventh with a time of 10.84.
- 800m - Kelly ran a time of 2:01.92 to take eighth.
Otterbein's Top Performers - Field Events
- High Jump - Scialdone hit a mark of 1.91m to take third, earning All-Ohio honors, and freshman Joab Bockstoce took fifth with a mark of 1.86m.
- Long Jump - Freshman Jaret Harting jumped a mark of 7.08m in his fifth attempt to take second.
- Pole Vault - Sophomore Joe Hill had a mark of 4.31m to take sixth.
- Triple Jump - Sophomore Malvin Long took eighth in his first attempt with a mark of 12.71m.

All-Time Otterbein Rankings:
- Barker ranks fourth all-time in the 200m (22.54 seconds, 2025).
- Swope ranks fourth all-time in the 60m hurdles (8.26 seconds, 2025).
- Graduate student Nick Agerter and Hill share sixth in pole vault (4.59m, 2024), with junior Brady Williams just behind in eighth (4.56m, 2024).
- Junior Khalil Jones ranks seventh in the 60m (7.15 seconds, 2024), sixth in triple jump (13.42m, 2024) and tied for fourth in long jump (7.12m, 2025).
- Junior Payne Ratliff holds two top-10 all-time marks, ranking eighth in the 5000m (14:57.02) and 10th in the 3000m (8:38.10) this season.
- Harting set a new personal record on Saturday and is now sixth in long jump (7.08m, 2025), while sophomore Richmond Honkpo ranks second (7.18m, 2024).
- Graduate Brock Pemberton ranks ninth in the weight throw (12.63m, 2025).

- Honkpo is second in the long jump (7.13m), followed by Jones in fourth (6.90m), Harting in fifth (6.88m) and Bockstoce tied for sixth (6.71m).

- Swope ranks third in the 60m hurdles (8.43 seconds).
