Men's Outdoor Track and Field places 2nd at All-Ohio Championships

Seven Cardinals earn All-Ohio honors

DELAWARE — The Otterbein men's outdoor track and field team earned seven All-Ohio honors during the All-Ohio Championships on Friday and Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan en route to placing second in the 14-team field.

The Basics
  • Venue: George Gauthier Track - Delaware, Ohio
  • Top three finishers in each event earned All-Ohio recognition.
  • Otterbein finished in second place among 14 teams with 92.5 points. Baldwin Wallace won the meet with 172 points, and Ohio Wesleyan was third with 88 points.

Otterbein's Top Performers - Running Events
  • 110m Hurdles - In first was sophomore Izaac Swope earning All-Ohio with a time of 14.91 seconds, and in seventh was sophomore Cam Smart with a time of 15.75 seconds.
  • 5,000m - Junior Chase Jackson finished in first with a time of 14:58.43 to earn All-Ohio. In fifth was sophomore Mitch Green with a 15:22.70 finish, in sixth was junior Payne Ratliff with a 15:24.29 finish, and in eighth was sophomore Caleb Rafferty in 15:38.19.
  • 400m Hurdles - Smart earned All-Ohio, winning the event with a time of 55.94 seconds. 
  • 10,000m - Sophomore Corey Rafferty earned All-Ohio, finishing in third with a time of 32:14.15.
  • 4x100m Relay - Sophomores Christian Barker, Malvin Long, Swope and freshman Jack Van Fossen finished sixth in 43.98 seconds. 
  • 1,500m - In seventh was junior Gavin Kelly with a 4:01.32 time. 
  • 4x400m Relay - Sophomore Ian Chapman, Barker, Van Fossen and Smart finished seventh with a time of 3:33.23.
  • 3,000m Steeplechase - Sophomore Brady Pugh placed eighth with a time of 9:55.05, and in 10th was freshman Tucker See in 10:02.03.
Otterbein's Top Performers - Field Events
  • Pole Vault - Graduate student Nick Agerter earned All-Ohio, placing second with a 4.50m mark. In sixth was junior Brady Williams with a 4.35m mark. 
  • Long Jump - Sophomore Richmond Honkpo earned All-Ohio, placing second with a 7.20m mark. 
  • Triple Jump - In second was senior Khalil Jones, earning All-Ohio with a 14.15m mark. In sixth was Honkpo landing a 13.52m mark, and in seventh was Long with a 12.61m mark. 
  • Javelin - Junior Collin Grundy threw a mark of 46.59m to take fifth place.
  • Shot Put - Freshman Noah Gaydos placed sixth, throwing a mark of 14.02m. 
Notables

All-Time Otterbein Rankings: 

  • Honkpo is the all-time record holder in long jump (7.40m) set in the 2024 season, and junior Khalil Jones ranks sixth (7.11m, 2023). 
  • Graduate student Nick Agerter ranks fifth all-time in pole vault (4.80m, 2024).
  • Sophomore Christian Barker is tied for second all-time in the 200m (21.59 seconds, 2025).
  • Jones ranks fifth all-time in the long jump (14.15m, 2025). 
  • Sophomore Izaac Swope ranks ninth all-time in the 110m hurdles (14.91 seconds, 2025).
  • Junior Chase Jackson ranks 10th all-time in the 10,000m (31:29.79, 2025).
  • Sophomore Jack Craigo ranks 10th all-time in the decathlon with 3,632 points, set in the 2024 season.
