Men's Outdoor Track & Field competes at Twilight Meet

WESTERVILLE — The Otterbein men's outdoor track and field team turned in strong performances across the board at the home Twilight meet on Friday, highlighted by distance depth and multiple field event wins. 

The Basics
  • Venue: Memorial Stadium - Westerville, Ohio
  • Otterbein finished in sixth place among 20 teams with 54 points. Mount Union won the meet with 99 points, Ashland took second with 95 points, and Cedarville was third with 81 points.
  • Results 
Otterbein's Top Performers - Running Events
  • 5000m - In first was freshman Tucker See with a time of 15:38.66, in second was sophomore Corey Rafferty in 15:47.11, in fifth was sophomore Caleb Rafferty in 15:51.94, and in sixth was senior Dylan Burns in 15:52.24. 
  • 400m Hurdles - With a second place finish was sophomore Cam Smart with a time of 56.36 seconds. 
  • 4 x 100m Relay - Sophomore Izaac Swope, Chirstian Barker, Malvin Long, and freshman Jack Van Fossen finished third with a time of 42.28 seconds. 
  • 5000m (Fast Heat) - Junior Chase Jackson finished in third with a time of 15:11.72 and in tenth was junior Payne Ratliff with a time of 15:35.82. 
  • 100m - Barker finished sixth with a time of 12.03 seconds. 
Otterbein's Top Performers - Field Events
  • Long Jump - In first was sophomore Richmond Honkpo with a mark of 7.36m and in seventh was freshman Jaret Harting with a mark of 6.64m. 
  • Javelin - To finish first throwing a mark of 50.45m was junior Collin Grundy and in 10th was Smart with a mark of 40.01m. 
  • Triple Jump - Senior Khalil Jones hit a mark of 13.79m to finish third.  
  • Pole Vault - Junior Brady Williams cleared 4.41m to finish sixth. 
  • High Jump - Freshman Joab Bockstoce cleared 1.92m to finish ninth.

All-Time Otterbein Rankings: 

  • Honkpo is the all-time record holder in long jump (7.40m) set in the 2024 season, and Jones ranks sixth (7.11m, 2023). 
  • Graduate student Nick Argerter ranks fifth all-time in pole vault (4.80m, 2024).
  • Barker is tied for second all-time in the 200m (21.59 seconds, 2025).
  • Jones ranks fifth all-time in the triple jump (14.15m, 2025). 
  • Swope ranks ninth all-time in the 110m hurdles (14.91 seconds, 2025).
  • Jackson ranks 10th all-time in the 10,000m (31:29.79, 2025).
  • Sophomore Jack Craigo ranks 10th all-time in the decathlon with 3,632 points, set in the 2024 season.
  • Grundy now ranks ninth in javelin (50.45m, 2025).
