2025 All-OAC Team
Four members of the Otterbein's men's tennis team were recognized on the 2025 All-Ohio Ahtletic Conference (OAC) Team, highlighted by junior
Max Fickas earning OAC Player of the Year honors after leading the Cardinals to a strong spring campaign.
Fickas, the team's designated No. 1 in both singles and doubles, becomes a 2x first team All-OAC selection and adds Player of the Year to his growing list of accolades. He went 10-9 in singles and 7-14 in doubles overall this season, while going 4-0 in OAC singles play and 3-1 in doubles. Fickas played in 23 of the team's 24 matches and earned OAC Player of the Week twice this spring.
Joining him on the first team is freshman
Sanjan Shanker, who impressed during his debut season with a 27-20 overall record, going 14-10 in singles and 13-10 in doubles. Shanker primarily played from the No. 2 singles and No.3 doubles positions, but also stepped in the No. 1 spots on occasion. He appeared in all 24 matches for the Cardinals.
Sophomore
Neil Reddy earned honorable mention, marking his second career All-OAC selection. He finished the season with 19-26 overall mark, including 11-11 singles and 8-15 doubles. Reddy played mostly at No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles, while also seeing time at No. 2 in doubles. He earned OAC Player of the Week once and now holds a 35-55 career record, including 18-25 in singles and 17-30 in doubles.
Sophomore
Jake Chilcote also earned honorable mention, marking his second career All-OAC selection. He primarily played No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles but also competed at the No. 3 position in both throughout the season. Chilcote posted a 29-20 overall record, including 14 singles wins and 15 in doubles, and was recognized as an OAC Player of the Week during the spring.
Otterbein finished 15-9 overall and went 4-2 in OAC play, advancing to the conference championship match before falling to top-seeded Ohio Northern.
