WESTERVILLE, OHIO—The Otterbein University women’s tennis team, coming off an 8-1 win over Wooster Feb. 9, returns to the courts Saturday, traveling to Oberlin College for a match scheduled to begin at noon.
“This team is a work in progress,” said head coach Pat Anderson. “Losing all the doubles combos and four singles positions from last year takes some work to fill in. These players are up for the task. Some of them have paid their dues for a couple of years and their games have really come a long way. The freshmen add a lot of talent to this team.”
Sophomore Taylor Jordan, at second singles, and freshman Julie Stroyne, at first singles, lead the Cardinals, who are 3-3 overall entering Saturday’s match at Oberlin. The pair are each 5-1 in singles play. Stroyne sports a 5-1 record at first doubles.
Following Oberlin, the Cardinals close out the winter portion of their schedule with Ohio Wesleyan University Feb. 26 at home.
