Cardinals Sprint By Wilmington

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Otterbein University cruised past visiting Wilmington College Tuesday evening in men's lacrosse action, winning 25-5 at Memorial Stadium.

The Cardinals improve to 11-4 on the season with the win, dropping Wilmington to 4-10 overall as a result. Otterbein finishes out the week with a 3 p.m. home date with La Roche College (Pa.) Saturday afternoon.

The game was tied, 1-1, after nearly five minutes of play, but Otterbein kicked into gear with 15-straight goals the rest of the half in blowing the game open.

Otterbein remained in control throughout the second half en route to its sixth-consecutive win.

Freshman Robbie Guiliano turned in his best line of the season with a five-goal, one-assists performance.

Brandon Stroup, Mikey O'Neal, Mike Dattolo, George Wright, and Tyler Reed all scored two goals in the winning effort.

Senior Juan Contreras also contributed nicely, tallying a goal and dishing out three assists.

Otterbein outshot Wilmington 60-13 and and dominated the faceoff chances by winning 26 of 32.

Jalen Jackson paced the Quakers with three goals while Kirby Dearth had one goal and one assist.
