Courie claims OAC Athlete of the Week honor

WESTERVILLE – Zach Courie has been named the OAC Defensive Player of the Week in men's lacrosse, as announced on Monday afternoon. Courie was a key part of Otterbein's 2-0 week in OAC play last week.

On Wednesday, Courie made three saves in just 30 minutes of work, earning the win at Wilmington. The Cardinals outlasted the Quakers 22-16, where Courie picked up a pair of ground balls as well.

Courie was masterful on Saturday in Otterbein's 13-12 comeback win over Muskingum. The junior totaled 15 saves – five coming in the fourth quarter and one clutch one with under a minute to preserve the lead. He caused two turnovers and added five ground balls in the conference win.

The Cardinals will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday. Otterbein will host Marietta College for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
