Match ResultsWESTERVILLE, Ohio—The Otterbein University women's tennis team posted back-to-back wins over successive days, this time an 8-1 victory Tuesday over visiting Marietta College on a cool, brisk day in Westerville.

With the win, The Cardinals improved to 7-4 overall and into fourth place in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) at 2-1.

Sammi Kruger, Emma Krummel and Adrien Leatherwood, each went 2-0 on the day.

The Cardinals breezed through second and third doubles with Krummel and Leatherwood teaming up for an 8-0 win at No. 2, and Sophia Navis-Davis and Brenna McCombs posting an 8-3 victory at No. 3. The toughest match in doubles came on court No. 1, with Kruger and Rylie Markle making adjustments for the gusts of wind on their way to an 8-5 victory.

Otterbein won five matches in singles play, the only loss coming in a tie-breaker on court five.

Singles winners were Kruger, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, Krummel, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2, Alyx Lynham, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3, Leatherwood, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, and Megan Locke, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.

Otterbein is scheduled to resume play Friday at Baldwin Wallace University. Match time is slated for noon.
