WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Otterbein University women's tennis team improved to 4-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play with a 9-0 defeat of Capital on Monday at the Sanders Tennis Courts.
Otterbein (14-2 overall) has won 11 of its last 12 matches and will start a two-match roadtrip beginning this Saturday against Mount Union at 1 p.m. The Cardinals then travel to Ohio Northern next Friday for a 4 p.m. start for the rights to second-place in the league standings.

Rylie Markle picked up wins in No. 1 singles and doubles, topping Capital's Brittany Keunke (6-0, 6-2) and then tallied an 8-1 win over Keunke and Jennie Schott alongside senior
Adrien Leatherwood. Leatherwood also cruised to a victory in No. 4 singles match over Nykesha Headen (6-0, 6-0).
Sophie Allen continued her solid freshman campaign with a win over Schott in No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-0), while also pairing with classmate
Megan Yates for a No. 3 doubles victory over Annika Wachtman and Amy Stammen (8-0).

Sammi Kruger posted a shutout win over Megan Williams in No. 3 singles (6-0, 6-0) and also won with No. 2 doubles partner sophomore
Sophia Navas-Davis over Williams and Headen (8-1).
