RICHMOND, Ind. – The Cardinal men's soccer boosted its unbeaten streak to five-straight with a 2-0 win over Earlham (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon at Matlack Field.
Otterbein (5-2-1 overall) runs its win streak against Earlham to four-straight dating back to 2013, recording its first shutout in the series on Saturday.
The Cards saw plenty of first-half scoring opportunities after unloading eight of their 10 shots on goal, holding the Quakers to just three shots. Otterbein broke the scoreless tie in the 28th minute following a foul called inside the Earlham box, setting up freshman
Tiger Pham for a penalty kick.
Pham promptly netted the penalty kick for his second goal of the season, giving the Cards a 1-0 lead. Otterbein managed to head two shots toward the Quaker goal nearing the end of the opening frame, both saved by goalkeeper Peter Kashatus.

Zach Barwick added to the Cardinal lead in the 63rd minute, scoring his first collegiate goal off a shot past Kashatus into the back of the net. Otterbein tacked on a late goal in the final minute of action, as sophomore
