Boettcher, Erre headline All-Ohio selections

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Seven members of the Otterbein University men's soccer team were honored with Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association All-Ohio honors. Nate Erre and Drew Boettcher led the way, each being named to the Academic All-Ohio and All-Ohio Teams.

Jacob Irani joined Boettcher and Erre as First Team Academic All-Ohio selections. Junior defender Alex Greene landed on the Second Team, earning Third Team All-OAC honors following the season.

This is Irani's second consecutive Academic All-Ohio selection after being named to the team following the 2024 season. Boettcher and Irani were both elected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, as well as being Academic All-OAC honorees.

Erre and Lincoln Wallace were First Team All-Ohio selections, with Wallace being the only freshman to earn First Team status. On the Third Team, the Cardinals saw Boettcher honored alongside Nick Isaac and Jason Villalobos.

Erre and Wallace add the accolade to incredible seasons, both being United Soccer Coaches All-Region picks. Wallace was a First Team All-Region honoree, as well as being named the OAC Freshman of the Year and to the All-OAC First Team. His 13 goals and 30 points were team-highs, as he was an immediate impact to Otterbein's final third. Transferring in as a graduate student, Erre was a phenomenal center back, achieving First Team All-OAC and Third Team All-Region honors. He played nearly 1600 minutes on the season and scored two goals in OAC action.

A First Team All-OAC pick, Boettcher was remarkable in the midfield for Otterbein, starting all 19 matches and scoring four goals while dishing out three assists. Isaac and Villalobos were Third Team All-OAC selections, coming off a season where Isaac scored seven goals and contributed a team-best eight assists. Villalobos rounds out the accolades coming off an 8-2-5 campaign in net.

Otterbein won its second straight OAC Tournament Championship, turning in an overall record of 11-3-6 and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year.
