Final Results
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Otterbein men's golf team posted its second-consecutive win of the fall season on Monday afternoon with a 21-stroke victory at the Raiders Invitational, hosted by Mount Union.
The Cardinals, now with four top-five finishes to round out the fall portion of their schedule, notched a 607 (310-297) to best second-place John Carroll with a 628 (311-317), after topping the Blue Streaks by just one stroke following round one of competition Sunday. Capital rounded out the top-three concluding the event one back of JCU.
Otterbein placed three of its competitors inside the top-10 in the field of 54 golfers, while also claiming six of the top-15 spots. The 36-hole event was played at the par-72 Alliance Country Club course.
Leading the way in both rounds for the Cards was sophomore
Tyler Dunfee who totaled a two-round score of 150 (76-74), falling by just one stroke to top-medalist Logan Holbrook of Capital.
Fellow sophomore
Sam Marty finished close behind just three strokes off the lead with a 152 (79-73), tying for the team's best mark in round two to place fourth overall.
Freshman
Johnny Peck was the final Cardinal inside the top-10, placing tied for eighth-place after compiling a 155 (78-77). Sophomore
Spencer Jordan followed in 13th-place after firing a 158 (85-73).
Senior
Austin Wells, who finished as the fifth and final member of the Cardinals' team score, completed just one round with a 77 through the first 18 holes of competition.
