DELAWARE, Ohio - The Otterbein women's tennis team recorded its third-straight win with a 6-3 defeat of Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday evening inside Gordon Field House.
The Cardinals, now 3-1 overall, await their spring trip beginning Feb. 26 where they will play four matches in five days in Orlando, Fla. A full schedule for spring break can be found on the team's schedule page

Otterbein began the match by sweeping all three in doubles play, led by the Cards' first-doubles duo of senior
Rylie Markle and freshman
Makayla Sutter with a solid 8-3 defeat of OWU's Casey O'Toole and Diamond Person.Â
Juniors
Sophia Navas-Davis and
Emily Quill teamed up in second-doubles for an 8-6 win over Brooke Butterworth and Lauren Corcoran, before sophomores
Sophie Allen and
Megan Yates, who boosted their record to 4-2 overall, outlasted Meryl Reams and Sydney Simmons in third-doubles by the same margin.
Ohio Wesleyan quickly tied the match up at three points apiece following a sweep of the first three spots in singles play, but Otterbein countered by claiming the final three matches beginning with Navas-Davis' 10-6 third-set tiebreak win over Butterworth in fourth-singles.

Marriella Briones, who improved to 7-2 overall, captured fifth-singles over Person (6-3, 6-4), while classmate
Megan Stuteville rounded out the Cardinal winners by cruising past Amber Sample (6-2, 6-0).
