WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Cardinal men's lacrosse team picked up its third-straight win Wednesday evening, jumping out early and eventually leaving Wilmington College with a 20-4 victory.
Otterbein, upping its mark to 4-1 against the Ohio Athletic Conference, now stands 6-7 overall this spring and will have the weekend off before traveling to Saint Vincent College next Tuesday for a non-conference tune-up.

Wilmington (2-10, 0-5 OAC) found the back of the net twice in 14 seconds during that second quarter before Otterbein regrouped and took a 14-2 edge into intermission. The final Cardinal goal of the opening half came from the stick of
Mike Roman, off an assist from
Nick Tholt, with just 28 seconds left before the horn.
Otterbein eased to victory in the second half, using multiple players across the field and using three more goalies in addition to starter
Connor Hinson.
Junior attackman
Connor Dziewit, the reigning OAC Offensive Player of the Week, had four goals and one assist in the first half before relaxing in the second. Partner in crime
Joe Sanfillipo had four points (2G, 2A) while Tholt,
Chandler Swartz and
Mike Brendle all had three-point nights.
Otterbein's defense forced Wilmington into committing 32 turnovers as
Derek Petrucci,
Ian Moews and
Justin McKee all forced two. Hinson earned the win in goal after serving the first 30 minutes.
Six-different Cardinals took a faceoff from start to finish, with freshman
