WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Otterbein women's tennis team saw its two-match win streak snapped with an 8-1 defeat to No. 13-ranked John Carroll on Wednesday out at the Sanders Tennis Courts.
The Cardinals (11-4 overall) suffer just their second loss in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action and move to 4-2 with just a pair of regular-season contests remaining on the regular-season schedule. Next up for Otterbein is a matchup against Mount Union at home on Senior Day on Apr. 22 at 1 p.m.
Otterbein faced a tough slate from the get-go as John Carroll's Lauren O'Malley, who is ranked second in the region in singles and ninth in doubles alongside Madisyn Rini, picked up wins for the Blue Streaks in both the top spot in doubles and singles play.
