WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Otterbein women's tennis team was outlasted 5-4 against Mount Union on Senior Day Saturday afternoon out at the Sanders Tennis Courts.Â
The Cardinals (11-5 overall) moves to 4-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play with their regular-season finale scheduled for next Saturday at Heidelberg. First serve is set for 1 p.m. in Tiffin, Ohio.

Marriella Briones picked up an 8-3 victory over the Purple Raiders' Anna Nelson and Ashley Gran in third doubles. Mount Union then claimed victory in second and first doubles, respectively, each by an 8-4 margin.
Sophomore
Sophie Allen opened up singles play by tying the match at two points apiece with a 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Alix Stein in third singles, before Briones helped the Cardinals regain the lead at 3-2 following a 6-2, 6-2 win over Nelson in the fifth spot.Â
The Raiders came right back to again tie the match with a 6-4, 6-3 victory for Megan Marsh in sixth singles over freshman

Unfortunately that point proved to be the last of the day for Otterbein as Mount Union claimed first and second singles in three sets. The Cards'
Rylie Markle, the lone senior on the team honored prior to the match, was outlasted 6-2, 6-4 in the second and third sets of her match in the top after taking a lead following a 6-4 win in set one.

Makayla Sutter also took a tough defeat in second singles with a three-set loss after taking the lead following a 7-6 win in set one. Sutter eventually fell by scores of 6-2, 6-4 to end the match.
