WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's tennis team defeated Muskingum 9-0 to earn its 14th victory of the season. The Cardinals improve to 14-3 overall and 5-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC), while Muskingum falls to 0-20 and 0-8 in the league.
Otterbein dominated from all positions, as the Cardinals earned three quick points in the doubles portion winning all the sets 8-0.
Sydney Bergman earned her 10th victory of the year by winning 6-0, 6-0.
Makayla Sutter came away with a clean sweep from the second singles slot by a final of 6-0, 6-0.
Marriella Briones added to her team-high 14th win of the year by a final of 6-0, 6-0.
Kristen Zink won her 10th match of the year, and has won seven of her last 10 matches.
Madison Mueller and
Megan Stuteville both earned a victory by forfeit from the fifth and sixth singles position.
Otterbein has now won six matches by a 9-0 results, as the Cardinals are a perfect 6-0 at home this season. The Cardinals have now won six of their last seven matches, with five of the victories coming against conference foes.
The Cardinals will be back in action early tomorrow morning, as Wittenberg comes to Westerville for a match at 11:30 a.m.
