Softball Drops a Pair of Games at Capital

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

BEXLEY, Ohio – After taking a pair of games from the Crusaders yesterday in Westerville, Otterbein Softball failed to collect a win in Sunday afternoon action.

Softball is now 11-17 overall and 8-16 in Ohio Athletic Conference play after Sunday's action.

The final scores were 4-2 and 2-1, as the Cardinal offense came up short after an impressive outing Saturday.

Otterbein's only scores in game one came from a Hannah Dobrinick solo home run in the first and a Hannah Lewis RBI single in the seventh.

In game two both offenses struggled through the first three innings. In the fourth inning Sage Jenkins borught around the Cards only score with an RBI single to dead center field.

Jess Gunter struck out nine more batters in game two, giving her 18 for the series.

The Cardinals will return to action next weekend, traveling to Tiffin on Saturday and returning home on Sunday for senior day.
