WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's tennis program kept things rolling Sunday afternoon on campus, maintaining a similar theme in its cross-town series with Capital by securing yet another shutout victory.

The Cardinals, winning all court to emerge once again by a 9-0 count, have now blanked Capital in 15-straight meetings dating back to the year 2008. This time, however, they also earn initial possession of the newly-reinstated rivalry oar!

As a result, Otterbein now holds a 12-3 mark on the school year and remains perfect in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play at 3-0. The Comets fall to 3-5 overall and 1-2 against the league.

Both sides, avoiding a few home-run balls from the baseball diamond, took the court following a men's match in the morning. Otterbein eased to victory in all three showdowns, winning by scores of 8-2, 8-3 and 8-2 respectively down the line…

The Cards then cleaned up all six individual matches in straight sets, dropping just six collective games across the board in the entire process. Erin Storrer had the lone shutout on the top line at 6-0, 6-0.

Otterbein will have 48 hours to regroup before a trio of scheduled matches in as many days, beginning with Marietta on Wednesday and then carrying into rescheduled dates with Baldwin Wallace and Kenyon.
