FINAL RESULTS
DAY 1 RECAP
BEREA, Ohio – Otterbein wrapped up the 2023 OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships across Saturday with more podium finishes, as the Cardinals secured team spots within the top-half of the league by conclusion at BW's Lou Higgins Center.
The men's group jumped one spot up the leaderboard after Friday's action to officially settle in fourth place, while the women's squad remained directly in the middle of the pack at fifth.
Mount Union, John Carroll and Ohio Northern finished 1-2-3 respectively on both sides.
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Senior Cal Yackin took part in the best 3K in OAC Indoor history, earning a medal after taking third place in 8:19. The top-five times in the race were all meet and facility records, while John Nice (sixth) and Nathan Craft (eighth) also scored points for Otterbein.

- Bill Daily hustled to third himself in the 1,000 meters by running 2:32, and also crossed third in the mile at a new PR of 4:11.. He was 0.62 seconds out of runner-up status there.

- Landon Burns took fourth in high jump after clearing 6-2 ¼, just barely missing the podium in the field of 14 leapers.

- Jay Figgins (1:56.6) maneuvered to fifth in the 800 meters while Vinny Zeren scored a point in the 200-meter dash at 22.65 seconds. The latter result now ranks him fourth all-time in program history.

- The culminating 4x4 relay of Figgins, Zeren, Payne Ratliff and Carson Jones landed fifth in 3:29.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Emma Klosterman represented herself well in the field, earning All-OAC honors in the high jump with a second-place height of 5-2 ¼. She also landed fifth in the triple jump to grab additional points for the team total.

- The 4x4 relay of Rachel Bollo, Angelo Maio, Cassidy Shaver and Tashe Lee teamed for fifth in 4:19.

- Angela Maio also took seventh place individually competing in the 800 meters, covering the four laps in 2:24-ish.

- Eden Edenfield took tenth in the shot put.
UP NEXT:
- The Cardinals will send athlete to a handful of Last Chance/Qualifying meets in hopes to send as many as possible to the NCAA Championships come March 10-11.
