Named the Ohio Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and a First Team All-OAC pick, Villalobos put together a standout freshman season, starting all 22 of the Cardinals' games and playing all but 13 minutes as a stalwart in goal. He ranked first in the OAC in goalie minutes with 1,986:43 and shutouts with 12, which was five more than any other goalkeeper in the league. He ranked second in the conference in wins (12), GAA (0.82), save percentage (.809) and saves (76).
A four-time OAC Defensive Player of the Week this season, Villalobos was also named to the All-OAC Tournament Team for his performance in the Cardinals' run to the conference tournament championship. He recorded a combined 10 saves in that three-game span, including one on a last-second shot at Mount Union to preserve a 1-0 win in the championship game, and made a pair of penalty-kick stops to help the Cardinals advance past Ohio Northern in the semifinals.
Isaac, another All-OAC First Team selection this season, started all 22 games and was the Cardinals' top offensive player. He recorded 30 points on eight goals and 14 assists and had four game-winning goals to his credit. He led the OAC in assists and tied for second in game-winning goals while ranking fifth in points and tied for seventh in goals.
Named OAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 23, Isaac recorded his 14th assist of the season in the tournament win at Mount Union to surpass Rod Borah ('99) as the program's all-time record-holder for single-season assists. He joined Villalobos on the All-Tournament Team, combining for six points on one goal and four assists over three tournament games.
In two seasons at Otterbein after transferring from Ohio State, Isaac has 48 points on 14 goals and 20 assists in 39 games, including 38 starts.
Wischmeyer joined Villalobos and Isaac on the All-OAC First Team this season. He led an Otterbein defense that ranked first in the OAC in shutouts (12) and tied for the league lead in GAA (0.85) while ranking second in fewest goals allowed (19). He played in 21 games, making 20 starts, and contributed one goal offensively.
Named the OAC Defender of the Year in 2023, Wischmeyer has 21 career points on six goals and nine assists in 79 games, including 77 starts.
Wischmeyer has become a well decorated student-athlete, highlighted by last year's College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team selection in becoming the Otterbein men's soccer program's first Academic All-American in over a decade. His career honors also include three All-OAC accolades, a pair of CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-OAC honors and First Team All-Ohio recognition.
Under eighth-year head coach
Jason Griffiths, the Cardinals closed the season with an overall record of 12-7-3 this season and finished third in the OAC with a 6-3 mark in league play en route to winning the program's seventh OAC Tournament title and earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
