Cards Dominate BW on Senior Day for Storrer and Gillin

FINAL RESULTS

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – It was a resounding Senior Day win for the Otterbein women's tennis program, which took one step closer to defending its OAC regular-season crown with a shutout effort against Baldwin Wallace on campus.

The Cardinals flew their way to a comfortable 9-0 decision by taking all courts rather handily, shortly after celebrating seniors Erin Storrer and Julia Gillen before opening serve. The duo has been part of multiple league titles and NCAA appearances since arrival.

Otterbein used that good energy into nearly playing a perfect doubles round, posting 8-0 shutouts on two courts and then an 8-1 decision on the top line. Gillin and Rachelle Moses, along with Lillia Walter and Aubrey McMahon, were totally unscathed.

Storrer, Walter, Cassady Shough, Moses, Olivia Eckels and McMahon then all won quickly in straight sets to punctuate the day. No Cardinal lost more than three games in any set, with McMahon and Walter notching perfect 6-0, 6-0 blankings.

Otterbein now has a pair of matches next week at Marietta and John Carroll to end the regular season, before turning sights on the OAC Tournament.
