Men's golf finishes second at Region V Showcase

PORT CLINTON, Ohio – Wrapping up the Region V Showcase, the No. 29 Otterbein University men's golf team finished in second place with a day two score of 310, shooting a 618 for the tournament.

Ian Morgan and Jake Morgan tied for third, turning in identical scores in each round. After shooting 75s on Monday, the twins shot 78s on Tuesday for a two-day score of 153. Fellow senior Colin Bibler tied for 12th in the tournament. Bibler saw a three stroke improvement from Monday to Tuesday, ending with an 80-77 – 157.

With a 78-80 – 158, Carter Woodward tied for 14th at the tournament. Clay Bruning had the biggest improvement from round one to round two, shooting a 77 on Tuesday. The junior capped off the tournament with an 82-77 – 159. Nick McMullen rounded out the Otterbein lineup with an 81-85 – 166.

The Cardinals will return to action Oct. 27-28 at the O'Briant Jensen Memorial, hosted by Guilford College.
