Jake Morgan tied for third to lead the A team.
The Basics
The Tournament
- Otterbein posted a 29-over-par score of 589 (294-295) to win the six-team tournament by 10 strokes over second-place Marietta with a 39-over-par 599 (299-300). Ohio Northern was third with a 44-over-par 604 (308-296).
- The Otterbein B team finished just six strokes behind the A team, posting a 35-over-par 595 (290-305) to best all the other A teams in the field.
- The Otterbein B team led after Sunday's opening round, sitting four strokes ahead of the Otterbein A team in second place. Sophomore Clay Bruning and junior Ian Morgan sat atop the individual leaderboard after the opening round, holding a one-shot lead.
Otterbein Individual Results
- Playing for the Otterbein B team, Bruning tied Ohio Northern's Evan Dennison (71-72) for first place with a 3-over-par 143 (70-73) in the 48-man field. Dennison won medalist honors in a playoff.
- Jake Morgan tied for third with a 4-over-par 144 (76-68).
- Ian Morgan placed fifth with a 5-over-par 145 (70-75).
- Senior Nathan Brown (B team) tied for sixth with a 6-over-par 146 (72-74).
- Junior Carter Woodward tied for eighth with a 7-over-par 147 (73-74).
- Junior Cam Uhl (B team) tied for 17th with a 12-over-par 152 (73-79).
- Junior Colin Bibler tied for 19th with a 13-over-par 153 (75-78).
- Sophomore Nick McMullen (B team) tied for 24th with a 14-over-par 154 (75-79).
- Freshman Noah Huard tied for 28th with a 16-over-par 156 (77-79).
- Senior Blake Bennett (B team) tied for 28th with a 16-over-par 156 (77-79).
- Playing as an individual, freshman Aidan Johnson tied for 42nd with a 27-over-par 167 (80-87).
Notables
- Entering the weekend, Jake Morgan (75.8) and Carter Woodward (76.3) led the Cardinals in 18-hole scoring averages among those with at least 10 rounds played this season.
- Both Jake Morgan and Ian Morgan entered the weekend with a season-best 18-hole score of 69, which leads the team.
- Jake Morgan, Quinn Gallagher and Carter Woodward are reigning All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorees.
- Otterbein has won eight OAC championships in the last nine seasons.
- Head coach Brian Booher is a seven-time OAC Coach of the Year in men's golf (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024) and has guided four of the past six OAC individual champions (2018, 2019, 2021, 2024).
