WEST LAFAYETTE — The Otterbein men's golf team placed third in the six-team field at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Preview on Thursday. Otterbein joined Ohio Northern, Heidelberg and Capital in having multiple teams in the overall 11-team field, and the Cardinals' B team finished as the runner-up.

The Tournament

• Otterbein posted a 7-over-par score of 295 in the one-round tournament to place third of six A teams. Ohio Northern won the tournament with a 1-over-par 289. Heidelberg was second with a 4-over-par 292, Marietta was fourth with a 13-over-par 301, Muskingum was fifth with a 19-over-par 307, and Capital was sixth with a 25-over-par 313.
• The Otterbein B team finished second in the larger 11-team field, posting a 3-over-par 291.
• Ohio Northern's Andrew Briars earned medalist honors by one stroke with a 2-under-par 70.

• Freshman Noah Huard (B team) led the Cardinals, tying for second place in the 66-man field with a 1-under-par 71.
• Senior Nathan Brown (B team) tied for fourth with an even-par 72.
• Juniors Jake Morgan and Carter Woodward and senior Blake Bennett (B team) tied for ninth with a 1-over-par 73.
• Junior Ian Morgan tied for 16th with a 2-over-par 74.
• Juniors Colin Bibler and Cam Uhl (B team), sophomore Clay Bruning and senior Quinn Gallagher (individual) tied for 20th with a 3-over-par 75.
• Sophomore Nick McMullen (B team) tied for 28th with a 4-over-par 76.
• Freshman Aidan Johnson (individual) tied for 51st with a 9-over-par 81.

Notables

• Entering Thursday, Jake Morgan (75.2) and Carter Woodward (75.9) led the Cardinals in 18-hole scoring averages among those with at least 10 rounds played this season.
• Jake Morgan entered Thursday with a season-best 18-hole score of 68, which leads the team.
• Jake Morgan, Quinn Gallagher and Carter Woodward are reigning All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorees.
• Otterbein has won eight OAC championships in the last nine seasons.
• Head coach Brian Booher is a seven-time OAC Coach of the Year in men's golf (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024) and has guided four of the past six OAC individual champions (2018, 2019, 2021, 2024).
