TIFFIN, Ohio – The Otterbein women's tennis team added to its current winning streak with a pair of shut-out victories over Marietta on Thursday and Heidelberg on Friday.
The Cardinals (12-3 overall) is up to nine wins in a row, just two shy of tying the 2015-16 team's mark of 11-straight, and now also has six-straight seasons with at least 12 wins.
Otterbein will look to remain undefeated in league play next Monday when it takes on rival Capital at the Olympic Indoor Tennis Club in Columbus, Ohio, at 3 p.m. This a match originally scheduled for Saturday that has since been postponed due to inclement weather in the forecast.
Marietta (Won, 9-0)
Otterbein only let up four total set points in the match, limiting Marietta's opportunities right from the start in doubles as an 8-0 victory for sophomores
Sydney Bergman and
Makayla Sutter as the No. 1 made it a 1-0 advantage.
Seniors
Sophia Navas-Davis and
Emily Quill then claimed an 8-2 victory in second doubles, before junior
Megan Yates and freshman
Jordyn Traxler made it a sweep of doubles with an 8-1 triumph in the third spot.
Five of the Cards' six singles matches proved to be shut-out victories, each one by a margin of 6-0, 6-0, while Bergman also dominated in first singles with a 6-0, 6-1 defeat of Victoria Xie.

Megan Stuteville each added a win to their season total in second through sixth singles, respectively.
Heidelberg (Won, 9-0)
A pair of 8-0 wins between first and second doubles put the Cardinals in the driver's seat right out of the gates, as Bergman and Sutter picked up their ninth win as the team's top doubles duo.
Navas-Davis and Quill were responsible for the blanking in second doubles, as they improved on their team-best win total, now up to 12-3 overall. Briones and freshman
Rachel Ferguson boosted the score to 3-0 in favor of the Cards with a solid 8-3 win in the third spot in their first dual as a pair.
It continued to be all Otterbein from that point forward as four of the six singles competitions ended in shut-out fashion, including wins for Bergman, Sutter, Briones and Navas-Davis.
Allen and Yates also earned victories as the No. 3 and No. 6, respectively, each accounting for 6-1, 6-1 decisions.
