WESTERVILLE – Otterbein graduate student Erin Storrer was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 17-23.
This marks the second time Storrer has earned the recognition this season, as she was also OAC Player of the Week on March 10. It is also the third straight week that an Otterbein student-athlete has earned the accolade, as senior Lillia Walter was the honoree on March 17.
The latest accolade for Storrer comes after she posted a combined 3-1 record at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in matches at NCAA Division II Cedarville and Division III No. 20 Kenyon.
She was responsible for the Cardinals' lone wins against Kenyon on Sunday, getting victories of 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 in singles and 6-1 with Walter in doubles in the team's 6-1 defeat.
In a 4-3 win at Cedarville on Tuesday, Storrer won 7-5 with senior Olivia Eckels and fell 4-6, 3-6 in singles.
Named Otterbein's 2024 female OAC Clyde Lamb Award winner, Storrer was a 2022 NCAA singles qualifier and is a four-time OAC Player of the Year and First Team All-OAC selection. She is also a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-OAC and two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree.
She is 18-7 overall (7-4 in singles, 11-3 in doubles) this season and boasts a career record of 145-65 (68-32 in singles, 77-33 in doubles).
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday hosting a doubleheader against No. 23 Denison at 9 a.m. and conference rival Capital in the Battle for the Oar at 1 p.m.
